Alaina + Trey, Engaged | Tennessee

Well if you've been following Mintwood on a map you know we've been all over the place! This Spring has been so fun and so FULL from all of the amazing couples we've photographed. I know 2015 is going to be a year to remember!

Today's blog post features Alaina and Trey's engagement session in sunny Tennessee. Be warned--this couple is extremely cute. These are Brooke's clients so I'm a little disappointed that I haven't gotten to meet them yet! These photos capture so much personality though, I feel like I know them.

"Trey and I met in September of 2013 at a church choir event. He asked to have coffee, so we met up that week and laughed together for hours while getting to know each other."

And the proposal--classic fake-out.

"In December, we went to Alabama for Trey's family reunion. While we were there, his family set up a portrait session with a photographer to get family pictures taken. So that morning I got all dressed up and ready for pictures. On our drive there, I kept noticing how sweaty his normally-dry hands were. Odd, I thought, but thought nothing of it. Then once we got to the location, which was a gorgeous state park, his parents said that the photographer was running late, so Trey and I decided to go exploring the park. As we were walking over a beautiful bridge of water, Trey began huffing and puffing. Odd, I thought, but again, thought nothing of it. We were joking as we walked when all of a sudden, he became very serious and began to tell me the most beautiful things. Before I knew it, he was down on one knee, and I thought I was in a dream! I was COMPLETELY taken by surprise. Oh, and the photographer? She was hiding in the trees capturing this incredible moment for us to have for a lifetime. (There were never any family pictures.)"
